One of this chapter's major functions is to provide, when required, ostomate and their spouses or significant other visitors. All our visitors must be trained in accordance with guidelines laid down by the United Ostomy Association. If you are an ostomate or will become one in the near future or if you have a patient or friend who has or will have an ostomy, get their permission and then call our answering service at (954) 537-0662 to request a visitor. We provide emotional support to both patients and their families.

With the new (May 2003) HIPAA laws regarding privacy, it would be wise to get permission to call us in writing.
